Medivet Northam (Witten Park Vets)

Services

• •Routine and preventive care: 15-minute consultations, nurse clinics, pet plans, flea and tick treatment, and general health checks are mentioned. Recent reviews regularly praise smooth appointments and a reassuring approach with cats and dogs.
• •Diagnostics and treatment: In-house laboratory testing, X-rays, ultrasound and ECG are available, alongside dentistry and access to an orthopaedic theatre. Reviews also mention same-day follow-up calls with results and discussion of treatment options.
• •Special interests and species seen: The practice treats cats, dogs, rabbits, exotics, avians and reptiles, with dermatology and ophthalmology listed among its interests.
• •Home visits and emergency support: Home visits are offered. Recent examples include urgent treatment for a dog with a chew lodged in its throat, emergency care described as life-saving, and treatment on referral that reportedly saved a dog's sight.
• •Longer-running case management: Earlier feedback highlights thorough workups and follow-up for ongoing problems such as chronic ear irritation, including help with insurance discussions.

Pricing

A very limited amount of published pricing suggests the clinic may sit around average, but this is based on very few comparable services. One published figure is an out-of-hours consultation fee from £185 including VAT, noted as subject to change. Reviews focus more on care than cost, though recent feedback includes praise for being clear about costs and options, while one older review expressed frustration about the prospect of another fee for an unresolved problem.
